The Heart of My Practice: A Passion for Genuine Connection and Support
Jessica Hagen, LMFT
I’m not your average therapist; I am human and bring my authentic self into every session. I believe in the power of real, honest conversation. Whether we’re meeting in person or connecting over telehealth, I work hard to create a space where you can truly be yourself without judgment.
I’m often told that our sessions feel more like conversations than formal therapy sessions, and that’s exactly how I want them to feel. Therapy should feel like a partnership—collaborative and comfortable. I’m a big believer in genuine connection and the idea that we’re all humans doing our best, even when things get tough.
I work with clients aged 14 and older, and I am trained in using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help work through trauma and other emotional challenges. I also specialize in working with individuals navigating significant life transitions, such as job changes, the loss of a loved one, or other major life changes. Life’s bumps and bruises can be tough, but they also shape us into who we are—and I believe that our struggles often hold the seeds for our growth. As Rainer Maria Rilke once said, “The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”
